Community Reinforcement and Family Training (C.R.A.F.T.) Group

Do you want to have a better relationship with a loved one who has a substance use disorder?

Do you find it difficult knowing how to support them to make positive changes?

Is your health and wellbeing affected by their choices?

Are you looking for better ways to deal with the situation than the “Tough Love” approach?

C.R.A.F.T. (Community Reinforcement and Family Training) is an evidence-based method for motivating your loved one towards recovery while taking care of yourself in the process. This educational group of 12 sessions, once weekly, teaches skills to improve communication and interaction with your loved one. Research shows that learning CRAFT helps family members get their own life on track, and improve their relationship with their loved one while helping to encourage positive change to enter treatment.

• Nearly 7/10 family members are successful at getting their loved one into treatment after attending CRAFT.

• In 2017 the National Survey on Drug Use and Health reported 19.7 million adults (aged 12 and older) battled a substance use disorder.

• For every 1 person suffering from harmful substance use, 2-10 people in their environment are struggling to help them.

Please join us for CRAFT at Spring EOP!

There is no cost for the group and materials for the 12 weeks are provided free of charge. The group focuses on the family member who is concerned with a loved one's harmful substance use, not the substance user.
