Hailee Denham, Intern
Life shapes people through experience, sometimes in ways that leave them questioning who they are and where they belong. As a graduate student in the University of Denver's Master of Social Work program, I offer a space to unpack a story at your own pace, without judgment, and with empathy. My focus centers on processes of reconnecting with a sense of self after complex trauma, honing in on identity exploration and development, regaining self-compassion, and working through co-occurring mental health and substance use concerns.
My approach blends Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Internal Family Systems, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, rounded out by strengths-based approaches. My therapy style promotes warmth, curiosity, and collaboration. In early sessions, we will focus on building trust and safety; from there, we will explore your story, make sense of patterns, and build the insight and coping skills to reclaim self-worth.
Diversity in identity, background, and experience is welcomed and every story is met with curiosity rather than assumption. Reaching out for support is itself a courageous step, and anyone ready to take it is warmly welcome in this space.
