JT Vrieswyk (he/him) is currently working on a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy at Colorado Christian University. He has experience supporting adolescents and young adults in both community and clinical settings, helping clients navigate emotional, relational, and developmental challenges. JT is passionate about exploring how past experiences shape present patterns and relationships, and he is committed to creating a collaborative, supportive space where clients feel understood, valued, and empowered in their healing.

Experience

JT has experience working with individuals facing depression, anxiety, trauma, adjustment‑related stress, and suicidal ideation or behaviors. His work is grounded in a trauma‑informed, client‑centered philosophy that honors each person’s story and capacity for growth. JT values helping clients identify their own goals for therapy and supporting them in building insight, resilience, and healthier relational dynamics. He strives to offer a space where clients can process openly, develop emotional awareness, and move toward meaningful change.

JT uses an integrative approach to therapy, drawing from person‑centered principles, Motivational Interviewing, Solution‑Focused Brief Therapy, and systemic family frameworks. He believes that each client’s needs are unique and tailors his interventions to support emotional regulation, relational health, and personal agency. His work emphasizes collaboration, compassion, and the belief that healing looks different for everyone.
