Kaylee Burton, LPCC, EMDR-t
Kaylee (she/her) is a Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate with a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health from Colorado Christian University. She has experience in the mental health field working with children, adolescents, and adults in a variety of settings to promote personal growth and healing. She has a passion for working with all ages, with a focus on how your past may be affecting your current life choices. Kaylee is now also available to work with couples, providing a supportive space to strengthen communication, rebuild trust, and foster healthier connections.
Experience
Kaylee has experience working with people who are struggling with anxiety, depression, adjustment disorder, suicidal ideation and behaviors, trauma, and substance abuse. When working with substance abuse, Kaylee finds importance of exploring how mental health and substance use connect and taking a holistic approach to care. With a person centered and trauma informed approach, Kaylee wants to hear your goals for counseling and help you to create the change and healing you want to see in your life. She strives to give her clients the space to process and be heard, understood, and cared for. Kaylee believes that the path towards healing can look different for everyone and wants to work with you in figuring out what this can be for you.
Approach
Kaylee uses an integrative approach to counseling to help with the goals of her clients, drawing from CBT, DBT, motivational interviewing, attachment theory, and solution focused therapy, all with the mindset that her clients have individual needs.
