LCSW Clinical Supervisor

This position would provide clinical supervision to pre-licensed therapists and students, maintain clinical oversight of treatment services, and support the development of high-quality client care. The Clinical Supervisor works closely with the Director of Clinical Programs and Owner to ensure clinical standards are met and staff are supported in their professional growth. This role includes carrying a caseload for direct client care and participation in organizational development through training, mentorship, and quality assurance. Works from a client-centered and trauma-informed lens, with a deep understanding of systemic and evidence-based practices. Provides leadership and initiative to support a collaborative and ethical clinical environment.

Reports to: Director of Clinical Programs, Clinical Director, Owner

Qualifications:

  1. Education: Master’s or Doctoral Degree in Social Work

  2. Valid Colorado clinical license of LCSW

  3. Minimum of two years post-licensure clinical experience

  4. Supervisory experience or formal training in clinical supervision strongly preferred

  5. Ability to relate effectively with people from diverse social, cultural, economic, sexual, and educational backgrounds

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Provide individual and/or group clinical supervision to licensed and pre-licensed therapists and interns

  2. Support the professional development of staff through coaching, modeling, case consultation, and constructive feedback

  3. Assist with onboarding, orientation, and ongoing training of clinical team members

  4. Ensure high standards of care through regular case reviews, documentation audits, and ethical oversight

  5. Maintain compliance with HIPAA, BHA, insurance and business contracts, and ensure all staff uphold confidentiality and professional Codes of Ethics

  6. Offer clinical guidance on complex and high-risk cases as needed

  7. Stay up to date with changes in mental health laws, clinical best practices, and supervision standards

  8. Maintain accurate and timely records of supervision and clinical documentation

  9. Carry caseload, providing direct client care aligned with trauma-informed and evidence-based practices

  10. Actively engage in staff development and continuing education to support licensure and professional competency

  11. Represent the organization positively in the community and contribute to a collaborative, inclusive, and client-centered workplace culture

Therapist Duties for Supervisor

  1. Provide services and conduct self in a manner consistent with professional Codes of Ethics.

  2. Maintain confidentiality of records relating to clients’ treatment and adhere to HIPAA compliance

  3. Assess and provide therapy, counseling, intervention and/or education to clients in a professional manner.

  4. Provide clinically appropriate treatment based on mental health assessment and treatment plans

  5. Complete timely and accurate documentation

  6. Fully participate in staff development opportunities offered to enhance professional growth, especially to maintain license, certification, or identified program performance skills.

  7. Participate in planned supervision and case consultation

  8. Contributing to the development of the practice through positive client interaction and presenting as a professional in the public as a representative.
