Rachael Dickinson, Social Work Intern
Rachael (she/her) is pursuing her Master of Social Work at the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs. She cares deeply about working with individuals who have lived in high-control environments, whether in smaller groups, such as family settings, or in larger organizations, such as religious spaces. Living in high-control systems can leave individuals feeling as though they have lost themselves, forgotten their worth, and struggled to find direction in their lives.
Rachael draws on trauma-informed, person-centered, and strengths-based perspectives to walk with clients as they begin to make sense of the story they have lived through and take steps to build a life that aligns with who they are becoming. She strives to show up for each client in an authentic, compassionate, and curious manner, recognizing that each person is the expert on their own story.
